Cartaro v1 · March 2026
Your store deserves more than an Instagram page
Cartaro is a brand-new e-commerce platform built from the ground up for merchants in the UAE. We launched our first version in March 2026 — and we're just getting started.
Our mission
To give every merchant in the UAE — from a home kitchen in Sharjah to a fashion brand in Dubai — the same powerful e-commerce infrastructure that was once reserved for enterprises. No code, no complexity, no compromises.
The problem
Instagram isn't a store
Walk through any UAE neighborhood and you'll see the same thing: talented people selling incredible products — perfumes, abayas, desserts, handmade goods — through Instagram stories and WhatsApp chats. Orders come in as DMs. Payments are manual bank transfers. Inventory is tracked in a notebook or a spreadsheet. Shipping is a daily trip to the post office.
It works — until it doesn't. A missed message means a lost sale. A wrong transfer amount means an awkward conversation. Scaling from 10 orders a week to 100 becomes a full-time logistics nightmare. And the merchant's "brand" is just an Instagram profile picture.
Global platforms like Shopify exist, but they weren't built for this market. They don't understand Arabic-first design, Mada payments, Tabby installments, or why your checkout needs to feel native to a customer in Abu Dhabi. They charge in dollars. Their support doesn't speak your language.
We saw this gap — thousands of merchants ready to grow, stuck between social media and software that wasn't made for them. So we decided to build something that was.

Our journey
How Cartaro started
Cartaro started in early 2025 with a question: what if launching a professional online store in the UAE was as easy as creating an Instagram account? No developers, no contracts, no monthly meetings with an agency — just sign up, customize, and sell.
We spent most of 2025 designing the architecture, studying the real workflows of UAE merchants, and building the core platform. We talked to home-based sellers, small retailers, and growing brands. We mapped every pain point — from the first WhatsApp inquiry to the final delivery confirmation.
In March 2026, we launched the first version of Cartaro. It's early — we're honest about that. Not every payment gateway is integrated yet, and there's a long feature roadmap ahead. But the foundation is solid: a multi-tenant platform where every merchant gets their own branded storefront, their own domain, and their own admin panel — all in under 60 seconds.
We're starting right here in the UAE. This is our home market, and we want to get it right before expanding. Every feature we build, every integration we add, is designed for how business actually works in this country — Arabic-first, mobile-first, Gulf-native.
What we're building
A real alternative to social selling
Cartaro gives merchants everything they need to move beyond Instagram and WhatsApp. A branded storefront with their own domain. A product catalog with proper inventory tracking. Integrated payments that work locally. Shipping with real-time tracking. Analytics that show what's selling and why.
Each store is fully isolated — its own database, its own admin panel, its own design. But underneath, they all share the same battle-tested infrastructure. That means merchants get enterprise-grade reliability without enterprise-grade complexity or cost.
- White-label storefronts with custom domains and branding
- Arabic-first design with full RTL support
- Local payment integration (more gateways coming soon)
- Shipping management with regional carriers
- Real-time analytics and order tracking
- Multi-tenant architecture — your data stays yours
What drives us
Our core values
Built for the UAE first
We're not adapting a global product for the local market — we're building for the UAE from day one. Arabic-first design, local payment methods, regional shipping carriers. GCC expansion comes later, once we've nailed the home market.
Honest & transparent
We're a young platform and we own that. No inflated metrics, no hidden fees. You'll always know what's ready, what's coming, and what it costs. Your data, your brand, your customers — always yours.
Speed to market
Launch in under 60 seconds, not 60 days. We obsess over removing friction so merchants can focus on selling, not configuring software or waiting for developers.
Merchant-first thinking
Every feature starts with a real merchant problem. We don't build for feature lists — we build for the seller who just got their 50th WhatsApp order and needs a better way.

What's next

Mada, Apple Pay, Tabby, Tamara, and more — all being integrated to give merchants and their customers maximum flexibility.
Advanced shipping
Aramex, SMSA, DHL, and other regional carriers with automatic rate comparison and label generation.

Abandoned cart recovery, discount codes, email campaigns, and social media integration to help merchants grow.
GCC expansion
Once we've perfected the UAE experience, we'll expand to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar.
Technology
Built on proven technology
Cartaro runs on a modern, scalable stack designed for reliability and performance. Every storefront is fully isolated with its own database, ensuring data security and consistent performance even at scale.
Multi-tenant isolation
Each store gets its own database and subdomain. Your data never touches another merchant's infrastructure.
Arabic-first design
Not an afterthought — RTL layouts, Arabic typography, and localized checkout flows are built into the core, not bolted on.
Modern stack
Built with Laravel, Livewire, and Tailwind CSS. A proven, maintainable technology foundation that scales with your business.
